Sozo Valley Farm is a regenerative market garden utilizing permaculture principles, working with nature to produce food and so much more. The farm will support the ranch through produce sales, as well as provide opportunity for serving and blessing others with fresh, healthy food. While we steward our little corner of creation, we hope to encourage healing, creativity, and community.

Meet the Farmers!
From inner-city missions to growing in the soil

Jason and Amy Calahan have been with Sun Ministries for over 15 years, and have been a part of nearly everything Sun Ministries has done. But their relationship started by resurrecting some defunct community gardens in north St. Louis.

Since then, they've gotten married, had four children, managed a wood shop, developed products in the sewing center, helped start and run a cafe, led hundreds of volunteers, worked in property rehab and maintenance, and mentored and discipled several people. And through that, they've experienced multiple hardships of various health issues, a high risk pregnancy, the loss of many loved ones, and all the wear and tear of a life in ministry. Now, they are landing where they started - on the good earth, tending and learning from the soil, partnering with creation to encourage vitality and healing.
