The Harvest Fields Company

Sun Ministries operates a fully owned L.L.C. called The Harvest Fields Company. Through this company we are able to employ our Narrow Gate participants and provide income for our missionaries. All of the profits from the company stays within the ministry for its use. The Harvest Fields Company does a mix of work that provides remodel and repair work for some low income rental management partners and it provides repair work for our Senior Home Repair program. This gives us the ability to hire and train our Narrow Gate Participants that we employ who were homeless, addicted or formerly incarcerated.

This has been an important part of our ministry since its beginning. What started as the opportunity Center, run under the ministry, has developed into its own company with an expanded ability to help the marginalized. Now we need the right person in order to develop this key ministry component even further.

I am looking for the right person to help us grow this ministry tool. That right person will possess a wide variety of remodel and repair skills. We do everything from tuck pointing to kitchen replacement. We have skilled staff already in place. We need a skilled worker that can also supervise.

This person will have a ministers heart to help those who have been homeless, addicted or formerly incarcerated. They will love the idea of providing free home repairs to Seniors that cannot otherwise afford them. These repairs can often be the difference between staying in their home or being forced to leave. This is a Christian ministry position. We will expect the right person to be aligned with our ministry philosophy and methods. We make disciples and teach them to make disciples.

The right person will be available full time. They will work Monday through Friday. We offer a paid time off program as well as paid educational support for industry appropriate continuing education. We are ready to compensate the right person very competitively. We may consider helping with relocation and could provide temporary housing for a transition from out of town.
